The States of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida

Welcome to the first of the standard Regional modules in the Visit USA (UK) training series. The standard series aims to give an introductory knowledge for those new to the regions, whilst the advanced series will have a more in-depth coverage of the region. The Carolinas, Georgia, California and the South West

THE CAROLINAS Though two quite separate and distinctive states today, North and South Carolina were one entity until 1712. Much of Carolinas was originally Cherokee Indian land, until the arrival of European settlers. In this module we also look at at California and three states making up the South West of the USA, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas. Read more >

The South and New England States

This module looks at six states in the South. Beginning with Kentucky, it works through Tennessee and Arkansas to three states on the Gulf of Mexico, Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama. It also features the six states forming the distinctive region of New England. Read more >

Delaware, Capital Region, West Virginia and the Great Lake States

This module looks at the Mid-Atlantic region of the USA, covering the states of Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia and also Washington D.C. it also features the states surrounding the Great Lakes; Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Read more >

The Great Plains, Rocky Mountain States, Pacific coast plus Alaska and Hawaii

This module looks a number of States in two distinct areas of the United States – the Great Plains and the Rocky Mountains plus Utah and Nevada before moving to the Pacific coast states of Oregon and Washington and concluding with the two outlying states of Alaska and Hawaii. The advanced module also includes the outlying US territories such as Puerto Rico and Western Samoa. Read more >

This series of training modules aims to offer travel professionals a robust understanding and knowledge of the diverse culture and places that form the modern USA. It also aims to make the American experience as exciting and intriguing in this age of instant high tech communications as the anticipated experience the young Tudor poet of over four centuries ago described by the quill pen of his age. The advanced series aims to offer a more in-depth coverage of the regions and also offer more background explanation to historical events and insights into the background of literary and historical figures now often the focus of contemporary tourist attractions.This module covers New York, New Jersey,Pennsylvania and Florida. Advanced Module 6

This module starts in Missouri,moving through Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma, the two Dakotas states,Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho.The final part covers Utah, Nevada, Oregon and Washington and the states away from the US mainland beginning with Alaska and Hawaii. It concludes with the outlying US territories such as Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Isles and Western Samoa not included in the Standard modules. Read more >
